HOTCAKES was formed as a design collaboration in 2007 by Catriona and Ceri.
Although trained as architects, it is disciplines outside of the profession that inspire the design output. Getting to grips with graphic design in Florence, screen-printing in London and pattern cutting in Barcelona teamed with illustration commissions and professional architecture experience have allowed for an approach that considers the varied application of two and three-dimensional design principles and techniques.
